Covid-19 Visiting Update

Updated 20th August 2021

Following the latest Government guidance for visits to care homes, we have updated our visiting policy as from 16th July.

With this news, residents no longer have a limit to the number of different people that can visit. However, all visitors must complete an LFD beforehand and wear a mask at all times while in the Home.

Visitors may complete an LFD test at home prior to their visit, but this must be registered and the confirmation text message/email must be shown to a member of staff before going up to a residents room.

For those completing the test at the Home, they must arrive 30 minutes before their visit to allow time for testing.

Visitors may either go to the garden or the residents room. At the moment visitors are not permitted in the communal areas of the Home. They may join the resident for lunch, but again only in their room or the the garden.

We are still asking that all visitors book an appointment time so that there are not too many visitors at any one time. Please contact the Home on 01865 888500 to book an appointment.

There is still a visiting room available for all other visitors and this is also  appointment based.

Residents are able to be taken out by friends and family, but must speak to the Home first to confirm if there are any precautions that need to be taken.

All visitors must self-declare that they haven’t been in contact with an infected person, travelled to a high risk area, had to self-isolate or are suffering related symptoms of Covid-19. In some cases, such as events in the Home, we will also be taking temperatures of visitors coming in the Home.

We are very grateful for all the support and cooperation from the families and friends of our residents, but if you have any concerns or questions please contact us.

Please be aware that visits may have to be cancelled at short notice should the Home be instructed to by Government guidelines, local health officials or if there are cases of Covid in the Home.

Please note that we are still accepting new residents.
